Madelyn Read Duo Live At Indigo
Praised by Americana UK as a “wonderful example of grafting new perspectives onto folk and country roots,” Madelyn Read blends classic country instrumentation with lyrics about growing up in Vancouver, Canada to produce a unique alt-country sound. Inspired by artists like Joni Mitchell, First Aid Kit and I’m With Her, Madelyn’s haunting vocals and earnest lyrics evoke a nostalgia for the city while contemplating the challenges of urban life.
This October, Madelyn is touring her debut album, “Concrete Country” with her guitarist (also named Madeleine). Together, the duo is bringing Madelyn’s Canadian coastal country sounds to audiences from Cornwall to Perth.
