Gardening Club is back!

Spring has sprung!

Sunlight has started pouring through the cafe and the daffodils are out so we thought it would be a perfect time to start up our weekly gardening club!

The Yarden Surviving the frost!

The Indigo Gardening Club was formed last year! For a while we had wanted to make the concrete area at the back of cafe into a space to grow veggies for the cafe and a space for the Indigo community to hang out.

With some funding and some amazing help from volunteers in the community, week by week, we transformed the yard and grew veggies, flowers and turned it into the perfect sun spot. We now call it affectionately the yarden- as it's our garden in the yard, get it!?

We grew all types of veggies in the yarden last year from courgettes to runner beans, pumpkins, chilli, beetroot, kale, lettuce, tomatoes and loads of herbs. We have a massive rosemary bush that never stops giving!!

Everyone is welcome at yardening club, which starts again next Wednesday 1st April 2-4pm. Come and learn a new skill, or share your expertise! Every week we'll be doing something different and there's no need to rsvp, just come along, the more the merrier!
